    Demystifying learning measurement;
    it’s easier than it looks!

    Learning measurements – what are they, and what do they mean to us as learning practitioners?  As a learning industry, learning measurements continue to be a topic of much debate – and a lot of confusion.  We all know they are important, but figuring out why they are important is often times more confusing than it needs to be.

    Join us as industry leader Peggy Parskey demystifies learning measurements and shares with us the secrets to understanding, using, and applying learning measurements in our workplace!

    Peggy Parskey
    Owner, Parskey Consulting
    Assistant Director, Center for Talent Reporting

    Peggy Parskey is the owner of a consulting firm focused on driving strategic change to improve organizational and individual performance. Peggy has over 25 years of experience in varied yet complimentary disciplines including performance measurement, management of change, human performance improvement and knowledge management to set program goals, define success measures and develop tactical plans. Her clients are predominantly Fortune 500 firms whose needs include business operations improvement and enhanced processes to demonstrate effectiveness and value to internal stakeholders and external customers.

    Peggy is also Assistant Director of the nonprofit organization, Center for Talent Reporting. She is responsible for credentialing talent practitioners in the execution of Talent Development Reporting Principles within their organizations or with clients. She developed the credentialing process and co-developed a 2-day workshop to build practitioner capability in running learning like a business.

    Finally, Peggy is also a part-time staff member with CEB, now Gartner, having joined the firm in 2007. At Gartner, she is accountable for business development support and delivers strategic consulting services to Human Resources, Talent and Learning Organizations. Peggy consults with organizations to develop Talent measurement strategies, integrate measurement into Talent processes, develop action-oriented reports, scorecards and dashboards for clients and conducts impact studies to demonstrate the linkage between talent programs and business outcomes. Peggy’s overriding goal is to enable her clients to develop sustainable measurement processes and grow their internal measurement maturity and capacity. In this capacity Peggy has been the lead consultant with numerous firms such as Accenture, Cigna, HSBC, Anthem and Lowe’s.

    Peggy has written numerous blog posts and articles. She guest blogs for gothamCulture and publishes her own blogs via her website. In 2015, she co-authored a chapter, “Big Learning Data” by Elliott Masie on the importance of developing a measurement strategy to build sustainable measurement capability. That same year, she authored a chapter in the “6Ds Field Guide” by Pollack, Jefferson and Wick entitled “How We Guide Clients to Design with the End in Mind.”

    Peggy was the 2008 President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and served as its Treasurer in 2010. Peggy is certified in Management of Change Methodologies both at the organizational and individual performer levels. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Simmons College and two Masters Degrees from the University of Chicago in Statistics and Business Administration.
