As the COVID-19 pandemic endures, instructors are required to find creative ways in which to deliver the most engaging training to learners.  Using MIRO, this session will enable everyone to understand and engage in an online Lean simulation in real-time with cursor tracking, real-time editing, video chat, screen sharing, and more.

About the Speaker:

Homero has over 23 years' experience in Logistics, Distribution, Operations and Supply Chain roles across multiple industries. He is currently Vice President of Manufacturing (Opex & Supply Chain) for Biotix, Inc. – a world class manufacturer of laboratory consumables and liquid handling solutions.  He is also currently President of APICS San Diego Chapter.  Prior to Biotix, Homero held positions at Northrop Grumman, LISI Aerospace, and United Technologies Corporation.  Homero also spent 11 years active duty in the United States Marine Corps, including two deployments to Iraq in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Homero holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration.  His certifications include Certified Supply Chain Professional - Fellow (CSCP-F), Certified in Logistics, Transportation & Distribution - Fellow (CLTD-F), Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (LSSMBB), Certified Professional in Distribution & Warehousing (CPDW), and Certified DISC Practitioner. 

Homero is a recognized Lean instructor at Biotix.  He is also a recognized APICS instructor & CLTD Master Instructor.  He teaches certification exam courses including CSCP, CLTD, PMP, and CAPM; and the Lean Enterprise, Back to Basics, Logistics Basics, Principles of Operations Management, Global Sourcing, Customer Focused Supply Chain Management, and Train the Trainer workshops.  He also teaches extended learning programs at CSU San Marcos. 

In his time away from work & volunteering Homero enjoys cooking, bike riding, hiking, watching 80's movies, and reading.
