Get good with Articulate’s Storyline, our profession’s option of choice for developing online learning support. This open forum is for learning and sharing techniques and insights. Workshops focus on a specific feature set by deconstructing entries in Articulate's eLearing challenge.
A click-along is usually included, so come logged in to Storyline, ready to learn by doing.

A guest presenter, who is active in Articulate's eLearing challenges, will show their work and reveal the tricks and techniques used to create it. It's an informal opportunity to talk shop with others who use Storyline.

 Meet Your Presenter:

John Morley has been combining words, visuals, and sound in video and interactive media for clients and employers including Hitachi Data Systems, Farmers Insurance, Southern California Edison, Kaiser Permanente, and most of the Asian car companies.

Author of the book Scriptwriting for High Impact video, he has taught at Cal State Northridge, lectured at UCLA, and conducted workshops at a variety of professional organizations and conferences.

An experienced coder, he has developed and managed numerous websites, and developed software used by clients including Saturday Night Live. After five years using Storyline at Genentech, he is now accepting assignments as an independent consultant.

Guest Presenter:  Alicia de Billy

Alicia de Billy is a freelance instructional designer who specializes in human-centred learning experiences. She believes we can “have it all”—targeted, effective training that is audience-focused, research-informed, and visually intriguing!

Originally starting her career instructing literacy and employment English for adult learners, she quickly realized that visual design is a tool itself to be used right from the start, not an afterthought for development. In the past, she’s designed training for veterinary professionals, post-secondary education, federal language training, healthcare, real estate, and other corporate industries.

Describing herself as “optimism-soaked ambition fueled by caffeine”, she works on freelance contracts, produces virtual training at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and actively participates in the learning & development community, serving as lead instructional designer at Not One More Vet (NOMV) and regularly participating in Articulate Storyline 360 challenges.
