Get good with Articulate’s Storyline, our profession’s option of choice for developing online learning support. This open forum is for learning and sharing techniques and insights. Workshops focus on a specific feature set by deconstructing entries in Articulate's eLearing challenge.
A click-along is usually included, so come logged in to Storyline, ready to learn by doing.

A guest presenter, who is active in Articulate's eLearing challenges, will show their work and reveal the tricks and techniques used to create it. It's an informal opportunity to talk shop with others who use Storyline.

 Meet Your Presenter:

John Morley has been combining words, visuals, and sound in video and interactive media for clients and employers including Hitachi Data Systems, Farmers Insurance, Southern California Edison, Kaiser Permanente, and most of the Asian car companies.

Author of the book Scriptwriting for High Impact video, he has taught at Cal State Northridge, lectured at UCLA, and conducted workshops at a variety of professional organizations and conferences.

An experienced coder, he has developed and managed numerous websites, and developed software used by clients including Saturday Night Live. After five years using Storyline at Genentech, he is now accepting assignments as an independent consultant.

Guest Presenter:  Karin Lorbeck, instructional designer

World-traveler and strong communicator Karin Lorbeck earned her masters of science degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.

During several years in mobile network and systems engineering, she worked her way up to a management position. She then promoted herself to the role of family caregiver.

That career move included two expat assignments to China totaling four years, during which she taught English in a local Chinese school, and coordinated 12 volunteers there.

Interspersed with those trips were design and implementation of the database for the Familyspice.com website, featuring cuisine from around the world.

She has since earned credentials in instructional design, learned storyline, and is currently an ESL teacher for adults coming from abroad.

And is a frequent contributor to the eLearning challenge.
