20th Annual Mentor-Protégé Program

Each year our chapter offers this award winning program to current San Diego chapter members, and we're excited to celebrate our program's 20TH ANNIVERSARY this year!

Through a creative "speed dating" process, we pair volunteer mentors with interested protégés over a six month semi-structure program. The program provides opportunities for all ATD members, from rookies to veterans, to learn, develop skills, and network in a supportive environment. BOTH the mentor and protege participants share they learn new things and build their professional network.

A mentor can assist in many ways including:

  • Offer guidance and resources on their ares of expertise
  • Offer connections to colleagues with additional expertise
  • Provide support and encouragement in pursing goals
  • Help establish professional networking

Overall, we find that the more focused the protege is on their goals, the more effective the process is for both participants.

Are you interested in participating as a mentor or protege?

The program usually launches in May/June and will announce when accepting new applications. For more information on the 2019 Program, download the 2019 Mentor-Protege Flyer! To apply, click on the links for the 2019 Mentor Application or the 2019 Protege Application.
