In her fifth year as a volunteer on the ATD San Diego Board of Directors, Bridget is honored to continue leading the chapter as President in 2022.
Bridget leans into the ATD capability model, by focusing her leadership on collaboration, encouraging teamwork, and respectful relationships amongst the Board Directors and volunteers. Outside of ATD, she promotes Talent Development best practices as a Learning Consultant at Skillsoft, where she partners with her clients to provide strategic talent development planning by identifing root causes to ensure that learning solutions make a measurable impact on their businesses. Bridget’s experience includes building innovative learning solutions from the ground up including designing, facilitating, and managing learning programs throughout the entire learning lifecycle.
She partners with Your Flock.uk, a digital coaching platform built to help remote teams discover and strengthen their core values. Most nights you can find her walking along the north county coast enjoying a stunning sunset.
Program Director - David Berke
David's role on the ATD Board as co-program director is to bring programs to the members that will enhance their knowledge and skills in areas related to Learning & Development. During his career, he worked as an individual contributor, manager, and external consultant focused primarily on management and executive development and organization development.
As a consultant, he has worked with managers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia and with companies including Google, Hewlett Packard, American Honda and a number of smaller companies including some bio-techs. His primary internal experience is in the public sector and in industries including healthcare and aerospace. He was a senior faculty member at the Center for Creative Leadership for 12 years.
He has written a book on succession planning, and another focused on how managers can support the development of their employees. He has also co-authored a book on leadership development.
As the Director of Marketing, Melanie is responsible for all marketing efforts to members, perspective members, sponsors and the San Diego talent development community. She manages ATD San Diego’s social media platforms to engage with talent development professionals and increase the chapter’s online presence.
Melanie is currently a Training Developer at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. In this role, she develops innovative learning solutions by making learning both informative and engaging. A big believer in design, Melanie enjoys combining graphic design and instructional design to create meaningful learning experiences. Previously, Melanie has supported company-wide initiatives through microlearnings, instructor-led trainings, and uses storytelling to deliver impactful eLearning courses. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Management with specialization in Human Resources Management from San Diego State University.
