President - Gwen Franco

Gwen’s role on the ATD Board as President is to provide the vision, structure, guidance, culture, and communication systems to support board members ability to carry out their responsibilities to serve chapter members. She has served on the board since 2020 as Programs Director and President Elect. Professionally, Gwen is a Senior Manager in Leader Development and Organizational Effectiveness for Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

Gwen has a 15+ year career focused in Talent Development and Human Resources. She is a strategic and innovative professional with a successful history of translating and leading business vision into talent development strategies that improve performance, growth and engagement. Her passion is to be involved in work that will illuminate and invigorate people’s development. Outside of work she enjoys learning about people and places, traveling and eating tacos.

Past President - Bridget Randall

In her sixth year as a volunteer on the ATD San Diego Board of Directors, Bridget is honored to continue supporting the chapter as Past President in 2023.  


Outside of ATD, she promotes Talent Development best practices as a Learning Consultant at Skillsoft, where she partners with her clients to provide strategic talent development planning by identifying root causes to ensure that learning solutions make a measurable impact on their businesses. Bridget’s experience includes building innovative learning solutions from the ground up including designing, facilitating, and managing learning programs throughout the entire learning lifecycle. 


She partners with Your Flock.uk, a digital coaching platform built to help remote teams discover and strengthen their core values. Most nights you can find her walking along the north county coast enjoying a stunning sunset.

Program Director - Heidi Lang

Heidi's role on the ATD Board as program director is to bring content and experiences to the members that will enhance their knowledge and skills in areas related to Learning & Development. She joins the board after many years as an ATD member and a frequent volunteer with the San Diego chapter. Professionally, Heidi works as the Learning & Development Manager at a large community health center called San Ysidro Health.

Heidi has been in the field of L&D for over twenty years, with most of her experience being in the healthcare and nonprofit field. Heidi has designed and implemented multiple organization-wide leadership development programs and is passionate about the power of employee engagement. She collaborates extensively with leaders to help them create a culture where all individuals have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Heidi’s facilitation motto is “Connection Before Content” and her greatest joy outside of work is her role as dog mom to Noodle and Ziggy.

Director of Membership - Brenda Callen LeGault

Brenda’s Role on the ATD Board as Director of membership is to drive membership and engage with our members to insure that being a member of ATD San Diego is a value add. Brenda is a previous Vice President of Membership from the Orange County Chapter and has moved over since ISC Resrouces is headquartered in Escondido, CA. 

Brenda is the Vice President of Sales and Client Service for ISC Resources Is a Women Owed organization that provides her client with Learning and Development professionals, Instructional Designers and Custom Training Solutions.  Brenda has spent the majority of her career in Talent Development and Staffing.  She is passionate about helping people find the right role and helping companies find the perfect fit for their culture.  Brenda is a great connector and is looking forward to getting to know all the members and finding out what is important to them and what would benefit them in their career development.  Brenda is a mom to 3 grown children and Boxer Puppy “Sassy”.

Secretary - Jenna Propson

As the ATD Secretary, Jenna provides administrative support for the chapter to ensure the accurate retention and communication of chapter proceedings. She maintains records as legal documentation of the corporation’s business meetings (Board Meetings) and disseminates them accordingly. She helps recruit chapter members, and also supports the chapter by hosting mixers.

Jenna is currently the Staff Development Coordinator for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. In this role, she provides leadership and expertise on training and evaluates courses and department goals. She initiates, develops, and facilitates trainings for employees, manages the Learning Management System, provides insight on organization development programs, and coordinates organizational change projects. She provides professional advice to county departments and committees. Jenna is passionate about developing leaders, supporting people to meet their goals, and using the CliftonStrengths assessment to help others understand themselves and learn to use their strengths to thrive in all areas of their lives. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership.

Director of Technology - John Morley

As the Director of Technology,  John helps us keep the chapter facing forward with an eye toward the future. In addition to running events that focus on utilizing technology in talent management, John helps us keep all technology running for the chapter, to include the website and online events.

John is a wizard of the digital realm (IDforHire.biz) who has combined words, visuals, and sound into video and web-based training for clients and employers including Hitachi Data Systems, Farmers Insurance, Southern California Edison, Kaiser Permanente, and most of the Asian car companies. Author of the book Scriptwriting for High Impact videos, he has taught at Cal State Northridge, lectured at UCLA, and conducted workshops at a variety of professional organizations and conferences. An experienced coder, he has developed and managed numerous websites, and developed software used by clients including Saturday Night Live. After five years using Storyline at Genentech, he is now accepting assignments as an independent consultant.

Director of Marketing - Melanie Proshchenko

As the Director of Marketing, Melanie is responsible for all marketing efforts to members, perspective members, sponsors and the San Diego talent development community. She manages ATD San Diego’s social media platforms to engage with talent development professionals and increase the chapter’s online presence.

Melanie is a coach, facilitator and team enthusiast who leads a consulting practice (Honeycomb Team Solutions) that supports the effectiveness of teams across the globe. Melanie’s true passion and gift lies in bringing teams together to build productive harmony. It’s not about manufacturing relationships, but rather learning to recognize the true power that all team members bring, and exercising appreciation of gifts that are unique. Through self-awareness, facilitated conversations, and a new expectation on norms, she knows from experience that any team can work together to create greatness!
